Membership offer - no joining fee!
In a bid to increase our membership base, we have waived the joining fee. You can now join the Ring of Kerry Golf Club for the remainder of 2007 for €320 only, which includes VAT. Family membership is €450 including VAT. 2008 subs have been set at €695 for individuals and €995 for families. This is a fantastic opportunity which is already attracting a lot of interest and quite a few new members! It's a limited offer only, so if you would like to join our Club, contact the Pro Shop on 064 42000 as soon as possible for an application form. And tell your friends about it - it's an unbelievable offer.

Rates
We are continuing to offer 2 promotions for the remainder of the season:
- 4 Green Fees for the price of 2. Four people pay €40 each, weekdays or weekends, subject to availability. Offer is for a minimum of 4 people and does not apply to existing bookings;
- Twilight rate of €50 weekdays and €60 weekends daily from 1400 hrs

Pro-Am
Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our Pro-Am this year. Whilst we had secured several small sponsorships for the event, we were unable to attract a main sponsor. It would therefore have ended up costing us a fair bit to stage so we very reluctantly decided to cancel it. This is, of course, a great disappointment to all concerned - especially given the success of our previous Pro-Ams. On the plus side, however, you can all get the barbeque out for the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd September because it's bound to be a scorcher now that we've cancelled the event!

Charity Event
In place of the Pro-Am, we are hosting a charity event on Sunday, 23rd September, in aid of local charities. Those to benefit are: Kenmare District Hospital, Kenmare Special Needs Support Group, Kenmare Community Care, and Special Olympics Fund. It's a 3 person team event and the cost is €150 (includes lunch) per team. Fantastic prizes will be on offer on the day. Tee and Green sponsorships are available at €50 each. Do come along and support this most worthwhile event. Please phone the Pro Shop on 064 42000 for further information or to book a tee time.

The Course
The weather, finally, is being kind to us. As a result, and thanks to the efforts of our green keeping staff, the course is in fantastic shape and truly a vision to behold on a lovely, clear summer's day. Rumour has it that we are in for an Indian summer, so make the most of it and bring your friends over for a round at what must surely be one of Ireland's most scenic courses. The old stone cottage on the 6th hole is almost complete and is worth a visit in itself. Overseen completely by the Manager here, James Mitchell (who put in many hours personally on the project and, indeed, nearly paid for it with several broken bones when he fell off the roof!); it has been most professionally finished and adds hugely to the existing beauty of the 6th hole.

And finally....... "You never own golf; it's only on loan, so enjoy it while you can." - Kenneth Blanchard
